Faith Formation on Sunday’s

We offer Faith Formation for the WHOLE Family

Sunday morning offers a variety of experiences here at St. Mark’s. And no matter which experience you choose, we all study the same lessons based on the texts appointed for that Sunday’s worship service! That way no matter which class you went to, there are ways to talk as a family about what went on in worship that day.

Our Family and Young Person’s Class meets following Communion in our Sunday Worship service. Young folks are invited to commune first and then head upstairs for their Faith Formation Lesson. For folks not able to attend worship with us, the class starts around 10:15 and runs to 11:00am. The Family Class is for children age 3 and up and parents are welcome to join along with their children. We sing together, we pray together, we do activities together. This year we will continue to use the resource Whirl as our curriculum to explore various bible stories – which helps our young ones dive deeper into the stories we read in worship in age appropriate ways.

Open Theological Conversation- meets on the last Sunday of the month for adults to have open conversation around particular topics of interest. We will ask together – “how do we see God in this?” as we think about topics like poverty, immigration, race relations, caring for the sick, those in prison, welcoming others, and more. Join us as we seek how God is at work in the world today!

We are all disciples on a journey with faith – let God speak to you through the study of scripture and the community that gathers for learning!
